Is James Harden the solution for Lakers’ sluggish offense? It’s way too early to tell
The Lakers started the season with only 1 win and 2 losses, and their only win came against the Suns, who were missing Devin Booker and Bradley Beal. He was dissatisfied with former NBA center and current ball commentator Kendrick Perkins, who bluntly said that the Lakers should try to trade Sixers star guard James Harden.
Perkins said on the show a few days ago, “If I were the Lakers, I might consider trading Harden. He has always hoped to move to the Clippers, but to be honest, Harden moves to the Lakers. For Anthony Davis, That’s the most reasonable thing to say.”, “If you want A. Davis to be more comfortable, just like Harden made Joel Embiid last season, then why not try to trade him?”
Harden had a disagreement with the Sixers during the off-season and demanded that he be traded to the Clippers. However, negotiations between the Sixers and the Clippers reached a deadlock and there has been no progress. Well-known ESPN reporter Adrian Wojnarowski previously reported that the Clippers have suspended trade negotiations with the Sixers, and there will be no further contact at least in the short term.
Perkins also proposed that the Lakers can add D’Angelo Russell to the package around December 15th, US time. “If I were Harden, I would reconsider joining the Lakers instead of insisting on going. Speedboat.”
Perkins’ proposal seemed a bit fanciful, but well-known ESPN reporter LVBET responded on Twitter, “I think the trade will happen after December 15th, and the package is nothing more than D. Russell plus Hachimura, or D. Russell, Gabe Vincent and other assets.”
Lore also said that the Lakers’ half-court offensive performance last season was poor.
